Knowledge seekers! Come in, your input needed

Post by FieldMarshalMenace »

Some people are endowed with absolute intelligence or is it that there are intelligent people all over the world but that people in the West are encouraged and cultivated to accomplish human advancement in all areas. I would like to think its about meeshay dowladu dadku dhigto ..in Africa they produce famine and disease while in the West they have people who make our life easier with discoveries in all areas.

For instance, today is the 30th anniversary of the discovery of DNA fingerprinting or identification method which has transformed the crime scene identification and parental relations to the child and more.

The professor who discovered it is from England. He worked in a small school in Leicester in England. After his discovery he was given a knighthood by the queen. Imagine the bragging right that his country has over others.

What has Somalia discovered? What has Africa discovered ? I know the first successful heart transplant was done by professor Christian of SA but he was white tho.

Africa has failed to cultivate the human intelligence. I know that my Somali people are highly intelligent. I know so because even when you hold a conversation with your nomad uncle you can understand that the man is highly intelligent but that his country and continent has failed him.

( btw since this professor discovered this is he paid royalty, can he hold the copyright to it ?)

Here's my favorite BBC program, enjoy

There is a difference to being intelligent and knowledgeable. Any idiot of sound mind can be knowledgeable with the right amount of patience and determination. You're a very good example of this. If you wanted to become a doctor you could, it might take you 10, 20, 30 years but eventually you will get there. Intelligence on the other hand is complete different, its about how quick your brain works, if youve taken a an iq test you'd know it isn't about general knowledge questions but more of puzzle solving. So basically these people who invented stuff arent neccessarily smart, they just had alot of time on their hands.

Depending on the field that you are pursuing, you will most definitely need a predisposed knack for it.There is a certain degree of acuity needed to visualise/design/invent things especially in the advancement of technology. In comparison to an historian, who works to gain a long term knowledge of events, there isnt much aptitude needed just passion. Inventors are one of the most intelligent people around, just takes a moment to talk to them to realize they're gifted.

if they are ''gifted" how come you never hear of a young inventor. There's a reason why the greatest inventions are made by 50+ year olds, trial and error. None of them have woken up one day and created something amazing. They experimented for many years, and by mistake, discovered something new. If the menace experiments the next twenty years looking for a solution to a specific problem he is bound to create something. If the menace hits a keyboard at random he will one day write the complete works of william shakespeare.

I'm not saying time scale is not a factor but some degree of intelligence is required. You must have an intellectual hypothesis to even start off the concept in the first place. Tangible items such as light bulbs and cars, yes trial and error is a big factor, but you must also take into consideration the thought processes that made it possible. It's way more pronounced in the technology industry especially in programming and software; where the young are making the biggest leaps.

Also, most people who invented popular items didn't only just invent one thing. They're naturally gifted people with the perseverance of a working man.

I recently finished a whole documentary on Tesla..I know genius do exist bc it was his own desire and believe that he can do better than his colleague the over-rated Thomas Edison ...he revolutionized the electricity ..btw why do geniuses go insane ?..at the end he was a mad scientist, playing around with birds :damn:
