nope less than 30%m of the Turkish population are gaalo.
The rest are conservative muslims, ive been to turkey, met many turks from different lifestyles and regions.
The kaafir minority has had total control over turkey since 1908, young turk coup, decades before attaturk, and now with the AK
party 100 years of kaafir rule has come to an end.

Someone with a gaal lifestyle but still believes in god, sees islam in a positive light but does not practice it fully
i do not consider a gaal.
There probably are a large number of such people in Turkey, but conservative muslims still outnumber them.

The less than 30% figure i was talking about is a distinct and easily identifiable population,
they are not only gaalo but millitantly anti-islam.
That same section of the population ran the country till recently.

Turkey is shitting on itself because they are worried about the Iraqi Kurds gaining huge influence, becoming strong and well armed due to the West sending heavy arms to the Peshmerga and thus declaring their intention of a separate sovereign nation which may trigger the establishment of a greater Kurdistan. The ISIS threat has united the Kurds and already the PKK in Turkey and the Syrian Kurds are assisting the Iraqi Peshmerga to quell ISIS. This has unnerved the Turks. It has nothing to do with religion, but is from a pure self-interest from the Turks.
