The Kikuyu in order to take the fertile land in Lamu, rounded up all their landless and homeless people and put them on trucks. They gave each Kikuyu a bag of seed, a shovel and a land title, and told them "survive or die". When they became sucessful farmers and needed more land, the Kikuyu sent bandits to scare the muslims off the remaining land. Today Mpeketoni settlement is a presperous community, and the Kikuyu who have settled there are inviting their relatives. The $23 billion Lamu port construction will also mean a flood of even more more Kikuyu into Lamu, fully making it Kikuyu majority. They are an amazing group of people
