What do you think of Affirmative Action??

For anyone who does not know, "affirmative action" is a Federal program in the US to grant "under-represented minorities" easier access to Higher Education. This is basically accomplished by having lower university admission standards for these "under-represented minorities".

I am currently an accounting and finance student at a University ranked 46th in the world, that is located in the US.
Walahi literally everyone at my university thinks I got to this position through Affirmative Action, and some students have even implied it directly by telling me that to my face.

What do you think of Affirmative Action?? is it fair, why or why not??

I'm sorry you have to experience that. I've heard of a lot of blacks who have their abilities questions and their standings associated with affirmative action.

I think it's fair, and I'm glad that it assists those who are otherwise unable. I support it.

I feel like the blacks who are against it are just uncle toms lol

I think its a great idea. What's better than giving the less-able/disadvantaged a fighting chance to better themselves? As for those who appose! They're are just narrow minded. Don't mind the haters. Do you walal.

I'm against it, in most cases those who do benefit from this affirmative action, become detached from the community they hail from. Few individuals in higher education are not going resolved the injustice these people suffer from daily unless they address the problems and provide an equal starting point for every child (education, healthcare and so on)
