My pic of this week's video:
The above clip has been posted on Youtube back in July this year and wanted to post it before but forgot. It is mentioned that it's South Africa (Cape Town, I think) and some of the locations they picked, as well as the camera work, are good (for Somali level). As for the singer, her voice is good for a new singer and she has amazing laafyo, just she needs to slow down with the exaggerated suuro and also needs some acting lessons (like when she acts shocked and her reaction timing when they guy walks past her and when he walks out with his bag, though that can be said is also an editing issue). And speaking of the guy, what the hell is with that hair cut? Waxaan soo xusuustay tii ay dhihi jireen 'alfis'.
Apart from the performers, the directors' names sound Somali and professional but did anyone notice what the lyricist and the musician are called? Muruq & Alfa Kiilo. WTF!
PS: The song could have been better if the beat was little bit faster (or at least they omitted the repeating of the organ at the beginning of the song. They overdid it there).
And by the way, what the hell am I talking about? I hate it when I am bored!
