Apparantly Rahanwaien politician are dull-minded and know nothing of politics. Why cant they make Baydabo as their state's capital city. Baydabo is safe place for them to make a capital city. Because Baydhabo is strictly D&M deegan and there is no dispute of the clan that resides there. Barawe is disputed city, most of the lower shabelle region is controlled by Hawiye. It takes less than a day for HG to invade Barawe city and chase this maamul from Barawe. So how can they have a rigid regional state? Is Rahanwayn doing this for fun and not sincere in their actions?

Another not well-thought-out and hastily formed region! This one certainly has the potential to prove more disastrous than any other in the bloody history of 'state' forming. Lord help us!

Baraawe is a diverse town, ethnic Somalis mainly Tunni and Geledi with also some non-Somalis. I think it's a really good location to choose as their regional capital especially because it's a port town. Good choice

I read something about the locals not wanting the responsibilities among other things. I personally think location wise Baydhabo is more suitable, its practically smacked right in middle of everything.
