The capture of Kudhaa from Alshaydaan was a big success as it is a strategic and important location; near Raas Kanbooni, Kudhaa has a natural ports that Alshaydaan use for exporting coal. This city should have been protected heavily and safeguarded accordingly. Instead Madoobe left one family to protect it. What Madoobe did is to divide Ogaadeen by just letting the Makaahiil locals protect it. Once Alshaab found that less than 200 men with no technicals or heavy weapons were protecting Kudhaa, they launched one of the biggest attacks they put together for a while. The end result, over 40 Makaahiils lost their lives including residents and Kanboni fighters.

Lots of other cities captured are guarded by Kanboni of all OG sub clan units supported by KDF, so the question is why Kudhaa was neglected like that???
