why some regions have al shabaab and others have not?

Post by sahal80 »

Firstly there r many regions that al shabaab doesn't target them bc atleast they r anti-government and there's no global interests in the regions

Some regions have them in the montains

HG waa dad nool!

People would talk about the al shabaab-free northern region but will never mention of galmudug and himaniyoheeb who have good security forces and democratically elected presidents and parliaments

The reason the north is secure is because of HG

And the reason HG is secure after being dad nool has to do with its borders with hiiraan being secure

North east of hiiraan, 60km from baladweyne, has no al shabaab even there's some village that al shabaab has never landed it, its called coomaad

So hiiraan is basically not secure for having borders with 5 regions that r pro-alshabab

Hiiraan was the last southren region that al shabaab took over it in the late 2009-2010

You rember sh sharif visiting it without there being foreing troops

After the killing of the former national security minister, omar hashi and the the 70 local politicians and tribal elders, hiiraan has entered an era of a leadership confusion as a youth leaders from al shabaab appeared in halgan and buloburde the southren part of hiiraan who r less traditional

Since al shabaab were removed from buuloburde a city that was al shabaabs central baraawe, where every body lands, their attacks on baladweyne and hiiraan generally have been limited

This pic shows how al shabaab r avoiding the army bases around baladweyne by walking through the forests along the river

Baladweyne is protected by SNA from the 4 directions, djibouti r at the airport and ethiopia at some mountain far from the city about 10km

However the highway is not save yet and the people in buloburde use a long an eastren way that goes to mataban first before going back to baladweyne

I'm sure if hiiraan was located on the coastal area from south of harardheere to jowhar it would have been secure

But why the people of the president r not resisting al shabaab?

Why they r not starting their revolution from south of harardheere?

And ceelbuur goes a sandwich between us

The strategy xamar is using is wrong, you need to liberate the traditional country first!.
