Re: People you admire
My parents.
- Proud people who worked hard all their life not asking anyone for anything. They never uttered a word referring to qabiil or qabyaalad.
Freedom fighters.
- The honorable mujahids of the SNM that left this earth, leaving a magnificent legacy for us.
- Malcolm X
- Thomas Sankara
- Subcomandante Marcos (The man on my avatar)
Btw, Jamal Cali Xuseyn was never denied by his father. He grew up with him and many people in Somaliland respect Jamal because of the man his father was, an honorable colonel who liberated Qabridahare in the 77 war and later joined the SNM to fight the government's extermination policy towards Isaaq.
Cali Xuseyn (AUN) liberated Qabridahare few hours after Godey was liberated by another mujahid of SNM, colonel Cabdillahi Askar (AUN).

His interview in one of the SNM bases in Hawd, most likely Baligubadle in southern Somaliland.
Col Ali Hussein ( of Shekh-Togdheer region) was the commanding
officer and the front leader of the Qabri-Dahare front
The Colonel was a highly respected officer, well liked and mild
mannered gentleman, he is known to have been the type who minds his business. Just like many
other officers, Col Ali Hussein was not a political loyalist but a professional officer
On July 23rd
. Col Ali Hussein and his deputies planned a double edged, multilayered attack plan
consisting of heavy uninterrupted 48-hours of bombardment and immediate forced entry of
ground troops aided by Tanks and armored vehicles. In essence, Qabri-Dahare was liberated in
two days of sustained attacks and coincidently Qabri-Dahare’s fall was just few hours after
Godey’s fall in Somali hands.
