I've never seen any of my friends speaking Somali. Only the fobs.

i don't speak somali in real life, only to my grandparents, and sometimes to my dad.

I know people that came here few years ago thinking it's reer magaal to say "I dont speak somali" in shakazulu accent.

You Americans are lazy... monolingualism is so common with you guys.

I speak fluent Somali and I grew up in the West. Though I've been back home in Jijiga a million times hence my Somali is up to standard.

However, amongst my friends, siblings & cousins we speak English all the time. With my parents I speak Somali.

How am I bragging? What the hell? I'd love to speak more languages. People on this website think the worst in me. I'd like to master all the accents to confuse people. I'd like to read news articles to know what's going on.

Same here.. I was raised in the west but my af Somali is airtight

With friends and I speak English mixed with Somali.
