They should challenge the FEDs the same way that this fellow Somali woman in Columbus, Ohio did, provided that they are not intentionally involved in illegal activities. The FEDs raided her home healthcare business, and closed it down without making any arrangement with her for the delinquent tax funds - which she did not agree to. She hired a topnotch lawyer, put down 100K as a down payment to the law firm, and took the FEDs to court. Immediately, the FEDs had let her business open, and accepted to negotiate with her on the "supposedly" delinquent tax funds. The last I know the lady's business is in operation, and despite the initial hardship, she is happy now that she stood up and defended herself and her business is in operation.

The FEDs here (Columbus, Ohio) were used to Somali guys who run away immediately as soon as the case is transferred from IRS to the FBI, but this time they took on the wrong person. This lady was not blinking, but knew she did nothing wrong other than working hard and follow the tax law based on the advice from her accountants.

This case has also inspired many Somali business owners to team up and share the cost of the lawyers in order to put breaks on the FEDs keeping the Somali businesses on the spotlight. Ironically, there is a perception the FEDs have that Somali business owners are funding overseas terrorist activities. Of course, we all know that that is false. However, the endless investigations that Somalis were facing in Columbus, Ohio; Minneapolis, MN;Atlanta, GA; and other cities clearly show these relentless inquiries and raids from the FEDs are more than the norm!

It is a personal question. Why is it anyone's business to know the income of the sheikh? If the IRS has any issues with his income, let them ask him, but it is no one lse's business to know how much a sheikh earns or where he gets his income. At least they preaching the deen and reminding us the hereafter.

I am sick and tired of these day cares. I am glad they are getting shut down and investigated. They are sheltering the kids. These kids spend most of the time with other Somali kids. How will these kids learn how to interact with others? Most places are dirty and they don't even have a place for the kids to run around or a play room. No toys. The kids are taken away from the living room to another closed room.

And the more the mothers have kids the more money they're getting under the table.

I am all for mixed race daycares. Enough with the segregation!!

As a matter fact, the sheikhs that I know preach against receiving caydh unless one has no choice. Additionally, as Muslims, we should have them employed by paying for their living expenses. The ones that I know receive their salary from the fundraising raised for the mosques.

Someone needs to preach the deen, keep the mosques operational, and maintain a place where our kids in the diaspora learn the deen. In my book, they have an important task for the Somali and the rest of the Muslim community.

If there is any fraud activities, anti-fraud government agencies would have caught them and persecuted them.
