A local NAACP leader's parents on Thursday dropped a massive bomb: their daughter, for years a highly visible civil rights activist in Eastern Washington, is white.
Rachel Dolezal, Spokane's NAACP Chapter President and part-time Africana Studies professor at a local university, has been misleading people about her ethnicity for years, her parents say.
Her mother even offered photographic proof. While Rachel currently sports tight, dark curls, her mom Ruthanne Dolezal showed KREM photos of the fair and freckled blonde daughter she once knew.

The parent is also in denial. The woman has native American blood, so she can not be considered a white woman. Pew research recently published a report stating that majority of White people with Native American mix do not consider or acknowledge that they are biracial. They conveniently forget or deny their native ancestry. But when it comes to African Americans, the 'One drop rule' is still in effect.
On the flip side, there is well documented history of Blacks passing as white to get away from the ramifications of the 'one drop rule' back in the day.

What u are talking about is "coons". They are black people who promote white supremacy. They do not deny their skin color but they hate it with passion. They were taught to hate themselves for over 400+ years of slavery.

She sent hate mail to herself and reported it to the police over a dozen times. Teaches Africana Studies at a university about the "struggle" and leads many black organizations. Why does love for the black race and passion to help ( and at the very least try to make for 400+ years of ownership) be seen as a mental illness?

I don't buy it. I think she is as sound as any other person. I bet if it comes out that she was working fir the FBI or another agency people will not question her mental state. But do it for love and you belong in a nut farm.
