A really drastic change to welfare is coming to the UK!
Because of an unprecedented immigration from the other European countries and now also more coming from Greece the government is taking a pre-emptive attack on the welfare!
The change will affect a lot of Somalis and unfortunately we will have an extreme increase of child poverty and the cycle of Somali losing out to drugs and more family breakdown is on its way!

Most second generation Somalis raised in the West work, it's only the FOBs and old people that rely on the state.

Hold on hold on , there is no such thing as free lunch when you bring childrren on earth you have to provide for them srt good example and ethics , you dont expect the state provide you and your kids you must. Work you ass off.

Hey, look at the bright side, at least this will push Somali parents to work hard and stop being a pest. also lets not forget, they are better off in England than in refugee camps in Kenya!

Somalis should move out of london into small towns and cash in on benefits. Somalis in sweden were protesting after benefit cuts but norway has best welfare benefits, denmark has the best pension benefits.

i welcome these cuts, it seems immigrants no longer want to work when they go to a country but sit on their futo and wait for handouts. Somalis are the worst offenders, these grown men and women who stroll around all day in a big jilbaab and have fadhi ku dirir battles in their small useless 'shops' need to be cracked down on

Let us see the short term impact of this move:
1.In theory, such a move will result in Incentives to work. But the labour market is very rigid and wages low.
2.Price falls in housing and other assets in East Africa. Many Somalis in the UK have been buying properties in East Africa and have created an inflationary pressure on the local markets.
3.Less trickle downs: Many UK somalis sent me back home either as investments or to families back home. This will probably decline .
4.Less ayuuto/hagbad or the same levels of ayuuto/hagbad at the cost of not feeding(clothing kids.
5.Innovations to how to cheat the system – more system entrepreneurs. Already, somalis and other immigrants have found out a way to mitigate the cuts. The so called Jaaliyad and other NGOs have experienced a boom, by providing papers of partime employments to alleviate the repercussions of the benefit cuts.
6.We could also see an exodus; many are from other countries in Europe/Canada and the US. They could move back.

So let us wait and see
