Ethiopia building Africa's biggest dam
Ethiopia has one of the fastest growing economies in the world
Eritrea and Ethiopia are military powerhouses which bring fear to Egypt, Sudan, Yemen and others. Somalia, Somaliland, Puntland are nothing more than ragtag militas.
Ethiopia is building first class infrastructure, while Somalis fight over dusty desert towns
Ethiopia is home of the AU, while Southern Somalia is home to Amisom
Somalis killing each other in the West, not living up to their potential, underachieving while Habesha are thriving and creating a positive name for themselves. What have the Somalis being in the West for years? They have been asleep wallahi

The difference is simply culture and thinking patterns

Nice try but the first one is ERITREAN. NOT HABESHA, they despise that term.

How did you come to the conclusion that all of them are of Habesha descent or do you think to be Ethiopian/Eritrean is to be Habesha

Habesha make out 1 of the 80 ethnic groups in Ethiopia and they make out 1 of the 7 ethnic groups in Eritrea.

The Eritreans even created a FACEBOOK to disapprove of the term HABESHA. The solidarity is strong among Eritreans, for the sake of nationality they disapprove of tribal allegiance.

I have seen Oromos with the name Zelalem as I've seen Amharas.

You can't only give the Habesha all the credit for Ethiopia's achievements.

But I do agree, the way things are looking for Somalia and Somali people, they have a long way to go.

ill never understand the reason Eritrean tigrenyas refuse to even relate to Habesha, when their culture is quite literally Habesha. If theyre not Habesha, why do they practice the same Tawahedo faith as Ethiopian habeshaa, why do they claim geez as their ancient langauge. Why do they have the same habesha food as Ethiopians., Theye ven have the same raditional dresses like the habesha kemis, and most claim claim Axum, And as much as they want to distance themsleves forom Tigrayan people, they speak the same langauge as them, Ive seen Eritrean tigrenyas speak perfectly with Ethiopian Tigrayans. I just think its like how some Somalilander refused to identify as somali due to politics and history. In terms of culture, theyre undoubtedly habesha but because of recent history and politics, they dont identify as habesha.

Let me point out that Xanuunku looks like another diric/macaawis of this sick Nawal/khadra/sowda troll.

He/she is dropping one picture in every topic he/she started.

As for the topic.

Indeed the first man, the cyclist is a Habesha since he is a member of the Kebessa highlands of Eritrea. The Kebessa, whose native tongue is Tigringya, are the original Habesha. More Habesha than the Tigrais and the Amhara in fact.

Their land and their ancient kingdom is where Habesha culture and the Tewahedo church entered the rest.

Zelalem is an Amhara name especially popular with Gojam region. I conclude that he is Amhara. Zelalem is Geez but also Amharic word.

I never heard of the name Ymer. He could be an Oromo for all I know.

Here is the lesson for you ;-)

Teklehaimanot (ተክለሃይማኖት in Amharic and Ge'ez) or (ተኽለሓይማኖት in Tigrigna) is an Ethiopian saint.. Daniel Teklehaimanot is named after him.. It literally means a "A plant or a seed of faith"
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tekle_Haymanot

Zelalem (ዘላለም) means in Ge'ez, Amharic and Tigrigna.. literaly means "Forever More"

Yimer :- (ይመር) means "let him be handsome" or "Let him Shine"

Now, you know.. ;-)

Nawal,

Good that you discovered the meaning of those Geez/Amharic names.

Like I said I know that dude is an Amhara.

And Tekle was an Amhara saint for Gojjam. Before the armies of Atse Menelik and Ras Ali Mohammed "Mikael" conquered the region, Gojjam was an autonomous region with its own interpretation of the Tewahedo faith.

What I have personally noticed is only my Pente friends honor Tekle.

Mad respect to the Habesha people,
Somalia, first elected president in Africa, peaceful transfer of power for 3 successive gov'ts, 2-champer Parliament, profes, constitution. Whilst Ethiopia are still living in dictatorship. Ethnic nationalism is at all time high now, Ethiopia is collapsing and they can suck my left nu filthy raw meat eating xaar-bash. Wish them the worst. xoxo.
