This just happened a few minutes ago at the protest site in north Minneapolis. 5 people just got shot at the Jamar Clark protest outside the 4th Precinct after some guys drove by and sprayed.

Five protesters were shot Monday night near the Black Lives Matter encampment at the 4th Precinct police station in north Minneapolis, according to police.

According to Miski Noor, a media contact for Black Lives Matter, “a group of white supremacists showed up at the protest, as they have done most nights.”

One of the three outsiders wore a mask, said Dana Jaehnert, who had been at the protest site since early evening. “One guy was shouting the ‘n’ word,” she said.

When about a dozen protesters attempted to herd the group away from the area, Noor said, they “opened fire on about 6 protesters,” hitting five of them. Jaehnert said she heard four gunshots.

The shootings occurred about 10:45 p.m. on Morgan Avenue North about a block away from the precinct station.

The attackers fled. No arrests had been made by midnight Monday.

The gunshot victims were taken to North Memorial Medical Center, said deputy police chief Medaria Arradondo at the scene.

Those who were shot sustained non-life-threatening injuries, Arradondo said.

“I am obviously appalled that white supremacists would open fire on nonviolent, peaceful protesters,” said Nekima Levy-Pounds, president of the Minneapolis chapter of the NAACP.

The protesters, angry over the fatal police shooting of 24-year-old Jamar Clark on Nov. 15, have maintained a presence outside the police station ever since.

Yep, but I don't stereotype sisters I never met. Fortunately they are not like you. They are connected to issues affecting their communities and are trying to make implement change. Black males getting shot by the popo in no way affects these women's lives or communities. You know what does? Somali males shooting each other up, single parent households, high incarceration rates of Somali males in NA, humanitarian crisis' in their own country Somalia every year etc. But I suppose when you are constantly a groupie for other people's plights, whether Palestinians, Syrians, Chechnyans, Madows, Martians etc. it's not as sexy to talk about issues affecting your own people.

Lakiin, you are right, groupies following around #activists that don't have anything to do with them is a noble endeavour.

With Somali males like you, I'm not really surprised with the state of Somali females. If I criticise, it is still better than being a self-proclaimed mooryaan. If I criticise, it's because I care. I might not attend midnight vigils for dead drug-dealers but I have every right to my views.
