Before that legendary song and Beerlula was it well known throughout the Geeska? Outside of Hiraan was the city ever discussed and talked about in local makhaayad?

Kkkk maybe for you if your from waqooyi but for me I heard hadrawi through beledweyne!

actually beledweyne used to be the very few towns that had bus stations that connect the country...

People in baydhabo, ogaden, dhusomareeb, ceelbuur would walk to beledweyne to go to xamar

Listen to sahra ahmeds journey from cadan, hargeysa to xamar it was through beledweyne

SYL, trusteeship, irirsm, adan cade all come from beledweyne

italian governor between three politicians representing beledweyne: cabdullahi iise, sh ali jimaale and adan adde.. the other two r muuse boqor and haji farah

Irirism, when you jouned koonfur! You voted for sh ali jimale

Hadraawi made it famous and without me ever going there I know few facts.

On the eastern side lives all the pretty ones and that made me think that western section is full of Bantus.

Also eastern side is more agricultural because he said badarkiyo galaydi.

The town is divided by a bridge because he said liqliqato is where he met her while trying to cross to the other side.

The western side of the town has more buildings or infrastructure because she had to cross to the west to see his shows.

Her name was Beerlula and even New York subway can never make Beerlula famous let alone some bus stop in the middle of corn fields.

lol all the places he named in his interview r found on the east side of town....the girl was living on the westside and used to go to the town (the east) for work

before the 90s the town was based on the east side except two schools

she heard of their presence so sounds to me that she was interesting to join the fan while he was in love with her

He presented ruwaayad playing the role of sayidka at sh ali jimaales cinema....this is in the town (est)

As for the girl, hadrawi has left us confused about her just like the arab faqih did not mention ahmed gureys identity lol

there r people who claim her even out of hiiraan

There was a girl who used to work at the theatre at that time(1971) who used to claim the song being about her...this girl is not native to beledweyne but her mum is. Most people believed in her story bc she was "so gorgeous"

What supports this theory is that people who used to work at these places at that time were either minority(.5) or non natives who worked for kacaanka

That she knew their presence when he introduces himself to her...she did not know him, she knew about the singers who were with him like salad darbe

Hadrawi stating that she was present at his ruwayad

Girls from hiiraan r not open to the strangers

When i hear beledweyna that beutifull beerlula comes into my mind.

When i hear galkacyo shaleemo berdacad cross my mind and i laugh alone !

when I hear ceerigabo i feel like watching Daalo aragtideeda.

When i hear berbera i know its bigger than something you can carry (berbera wax go,o lagu qaado ka weyn)

when i hear kismayo i really beleive its tough place to survive, kismayo iyo kistaada iyo kanbadhuudhadaada.

When i hear lasanod i see the nightmares of dhegdheer in boholaha xargaga.

For the somalilanders long term resident to xamar and going back to their hometown beledweyn is known for the massacres and robbing of our people while going back on the road north. When the siyad barre regime was imploding the locals from hiraan were doing their job isbaaaro and if you were from somalilanders walagu dilaya so they can get your shirt , kabo and saacad. A typical southern tradition. Other than the people , hiraan seems like a green place , even beautiful scenery .
