The title is not accurate and is rather politically motivated. Al Jazeera got banned from entering Ethiopia especially Somali Region. After many crocodile tears and paying its way including using Western influence---it got opportunity to film in Amhara Region.
It banged the TPLF-led regime hard without making it too obvious.
The idea was and still remains to cause violent uprise in Ethiopia against the current regime. So exploiting Amhara with such documentary and title was carefully calculated political move.
Amhara is not the poorest region nor the poorest in the world.
Amhara is quite rich region but its wealth is leaving the region without benefiting the locals.
Amhara people are poor but not the region. Region is blessed with vast wealth including endless water resources including Abay river, Lake Tana, Tiz Abay, Semien ranges and countless world heritage treasures and wealth. Really is great place to explore, invest and just deep your feet into.
I am personally proud of my Isaac brothers who always want to explore something new and go further with an open mind. Not only have we now put our hands into Abay River but we have climbed Semien.
Here is my boy from Abaarso Tech touring that natural beauty in Wollo. He recently found solar company with his American teachers (Abaarso).

Lander on top of the Simien mountains, the highest peak Ras Dashen is 4,550 meters above sea-level.

I do love to see and take part in the establishment of direct flights including cargo between Hargeisa and Bahir Dar.
