Ethiopia, Kenya & Puntland plan to push Somalia back to a failed transitional phase

I had a chat with a guy part of the UN monitoring group which comes under the contact group umbrella for Somalia, it was a long interesting conversation, the guy is a ultra-rare breed wadani MJ, he has told me Kenya, Ethiopia and to some extent some yanks are unhappy with the several multi million pound deals the SFG signed with countries such as Turkey, China, UAE, Dubai etc.

This is making the neighbouring countries very nervous, they are all hell bent on returning Somalia back to a failed transitional state, this would mean they can no longer sign any deals with any country, this will be achieved by the current political deadlock and instabilities they are fomenting on a daily basis using their favourite stooges Puntland and Doqonka Madoobe, which they hope will return us to those dark days of a failed state.

The Emirate countries and turkey got HSM to snub the Ethiopian foreign minister, they are fiercely opposed to this plan, particularly turkey who has so much interest in the country with 700million development fund for several projects, it went a step further by starting a construction on a major base ( Turks foiled an attack last week by Xabashi sponsored al-shabab on the base site) to train SFG so they become independent

Rumours are the newly appointed UN envoy that has no clue unlike Nicholas Kay who knew Somalis very well is also in favour for returning Somalia to transitional charter, the Turks are pushing for UN troops which they want to spearhead, the Saudi's and Qatar support these initiatives, a second turkish warship docked at Mogadishu port recently

He was very brave to admit that a strong SFG will hurt Puntland in the long run as it will need to handover government facilities and be equal to all the newly created states, in fact it was prosperous prior to HSM and took a major hit since, so it’s no surprise why it’s in their interest to have a failed Somalia they make a shit load of money that way, unless of course they become the custodians
