Should the number of Regions be reduced?

We need to make Somaliland be consist of the original 5 regions again when we became independent again in 1991. Lets not be like neighbouring zoomalia who have a shifting amount of clan rooted states every year

we are a unitary not federal country and 5 regions with a strong national government is the best thing for our development agenda

only 6 are approved as Regions, others are administrative counties.

Anyway, Somaliland is technically still 5 regions plus Saahil, which with the port of Berbera, has every right to be a stand alone region, so 6 Its.

Waxan kale ee Saraar iyo Salal iyo dadmadheh waa iska wada bug, basically Bariis la beekhaamiyay uun. Even Gabilay is not considered a region and has not yet been approved by parliament.

May be if there is a very high population or large uninhabitable piece of land.
I don't think Saxiil should be split but Sanaag definitely needs to be split. Sool is already
divided into Sarrar, and Xaysimo. Toghdeer is also split between Odawayne, Shiekh and Cayn (Buuhoodle district)
Western SL doesn't need anymore regions you have Selel, Awdal, Lughay, Gabiely, Hawd MaroodiJeex and Saxiil.

No need 4 more.

East Saxil "xeebta" needs to have its own mamul or we need it should be part of togdheer. Why should degmoda sheikh be aloud to break away from togdheer and join Saxil?
