WDN: What inspired you to come up with the idea of establishing a school in Somalia, and specifically, what attracted you to Somaliland?

Jonathan: My interest in Somaliland originally came from my uncle, Billeh Osman, who is from Erigavo. While Billeh has lived in the US since I was young, he often spoke of his home country. Eventually I decided it was time to see what Somaliland was all about. My visit in 2008 was a powerful experience; before I left I had committed to launch a school. I felt it was a wonderful opportunity to make a special contribution to the world. Now, having completed our 6th year, I am immensely proud of what our students and staff have accomplished.


They tried and tried and tried to make him say the word Somalia but he brushed it off , the entire interviews aim was to make Somalia and Somaliland synonymous but not for once did this man relented he never mentioned Somalia once , either he said Somaliland or Somalis period.

Wardheernews is a Daroodist hate magazine , I have been following it for years , their entire agenda is tribal , their hate is plain and obvious the only thing they do it differently is their "English" medium ,the content is not intended for Somalis , their hate and propaganda is intended to sick the Gaalo on certain tribes ( isaaq in particular and hawiye to lesser degree), they have their own collaborators , some naïve isaaqs like Ibraahim Hawd whom I had a venomous altercation with him (2012) and some dirty abgaal whom their hate for H.G surpasses everything else.
