SNM 1988 entering Hargeisa

Post by AwRastaale »

This video is great education

SNM had thousands upon thousands of fighters in the 80s and did the regime the biggest damages militarily, economically and diplomatically. So much so Barre lost full control and began hiring Rhodesian pilots to bomb Hargeisa---which brought only the world's attention to the issue.

https://www.facebook.com/king.abdirizaa ... 080564964/

It is May 30th 1988. SNM already stormed Burao few days ago.

SSDF long handed itself back to the regime.

USC was still crawling baby in the SNM pram.

All Aideed managed to do was show in Mogadishu when Barre was already defeated, exhausted and psychologically unfit.

My challenge to USC kids is to show us any USC video even 1990s like the one above.

If you can't produce it, silence is better.

Then came their sons...

Oromo boy firstable the video we dont see SNM entering hargeysa.. We only see View of light armed men in the bushes.. Second no one disputed SNM kamakazi style attacked part of burco and Hargeysa 1988. but in a weeks SNM was tottaly defeated. there is no single town in north Somalia that SNM captured and controlled until Siyaad bare was overthrown by USC.

SNM did not capture one single town in the north while Siyaad bare was still in the power and thats shows you how failed was this group SNM,.
Even the border crossing town of togwajaale was hands of siyaad bare regime even when the 26 janaayo 1991 Siyaad barre goverment collapsed..

USC does not need videos. when USC overthrown The Siyaad bare regime 26 janaayo 1991. HARGEYSA BURCO. BERBERA was still hands of Siyaad bare regime.. And failed SNM entred hargeysa burco berbera 29 janaayo 1991 and there are video proof of that.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cCzsLvojRIo

Waxaad fiirisaa date 29 janaayo 1991.. SNM wali banaanka ayey joogtaa oo wali ma qabsan hargeysa burco berbera oo cidla ah... waa meel 3 maalin ka hor 26 janaayo 1991 xukunkii siyaad bare oo dhacay qabiiil walibana their qabiiland ay qabsadeen.. hhhhhhhhh

USC fought the 21 st division based in Dhusamareeb, the 60th division in Baidoa, the 54 division in Mudug, the 77th division in lower Shabelle and Xamar.
SNM only fought 26th division.

After USC overthrew Afweyne, SNM had no more battles to fight whereas USC fought Gen Morgan who was known for saying "waa dagaal Darood iyo Hawiye" and 28 UNOSOM countries. SNM could not capture 1 city for 3 years (1988-1991) when it took USC less than 6 months to capture the whole of south central Somalia (11 out of the 18 regions of Somalia). USC and SNM can not be compared the only thing they have in common was Geesiyaal Wadanimo ku jirto bay ahayeen and that's what I respect about them.

The USC was a criminal group. We all know their legacy smh. Failure, failure. It's been quarter century yall. What exactly did they achieve?

Besides, it's time to move on and focus on how we can fix our nation. Let's leave the past behind us and move on :som:

If you gonna overthrow a government, at least make sure that you know how to lead an entire nation :MJ: :Heh:
USC had many more enemies than SNM and they were even merciful to their enemies.
Not a bad word came out of Caydiid (AUN).

The question I'm asking is; If they managed to overthrow Aabe Siyad Barre how come they could not replace him and rule the nation? How come the USC failed to rule the entire nation. Why were all the state institutions destroyed, houses looted, innocent people killed and ppl made refugees? Why has Somalia been a failure and been burning for a quarter a century? :?

How come the USC and the rebel groups failed to come togheter and lead the nation?
I don't understand this at all, does anyone know the answers????

Lool usc had more enemy then snm, what an innocent statement. The snm and isaaq were fighting:

1- the somali army

2- the armed oromo refugees

3- tribal daarood volunteer militia

4- gedabursi armed volunteers

5- the Rodhesian mercenaries

The usc didn't even see a Somali army just few red beret mareexaan and daarood tribal militia.

The answer is simply Afweyne didn't leave a country behind to be run.

What cities? When the SNM withdrew temporarily from hargaisa and burao, there was no cities, just empty bombed rubles. Nobody can deny a fact most faqash generals concede that the somali army was destroyed by the isaaq, cabdicaziiz bare and most top faqash don't deny it.

Aabe Siyaad? Im guessing you are Mareexaan.

USC did make a government they elected Gen Caydiid (AUN) as president.
But because Everyone wanted a share of the kursi, even Morgan, this government failed to take off.
USC liberated Somalia only for Unosom to reverse their gains but waan ka guuleysanay and we managed to recapture every town by end of 1992 even Buur Dhuubo (Siad barre's private residence"
https://youtu.be/JNaE6Q1PWmE[/youtube]
As for the buildings being destroyed and innocents being killed, it is a war not a peaceful Handover

USC is not responsible for somalias state today, I guarantee you if UNOSOM and Morgan had not fought Caydiid (AUN) we would have a better government than we did before. Gen Aideed did all he could to meet with the other rebel groups to form a unity Government, he met with Cabdullahi Yusuf and SNM. He also meet with Cumar Jess. He was wadani AUN.

Dr Dameer for God's sake learn the techniques of the forum don't quote a huge post then add your huge reply.

What so special about the date, this the snm taking Berbera the last faqash strong hold. What did you think the video was about the beginning of the war? By that time both hargaisa and burco were taken, ceerigabo was taken and in this video the SNM is chasing general cabdicaziiz cali bare a general who admitted on the bbc that the somali army was destroyed by the snm and the usc didn't face any somali army.
