We may suffer or seem weak in the short term, but in the long term this is a good wake up call not just for us but for all other communities dealing with the same problem. This is the point of which we have to first change our policy towards our southern border with Ethiopia. The fact that we have no army bases along the border except gorayocawl near borama is the biggest reason the liyuu are are very active in the border . We never thought that Enemies will one day start to attack us from the Ethiopian side. First we got to recruit several hundred new military units locally recruited from the borderline towns. Local youth can be more permanently standby and more experienced fighting in their environment. The liyuu are under armed, There is no need of heavy military equipment to confront them , just Several big and small transportation trucks like their type , enough ammunition, and mines to cut of their supply routes. Somaliland can secure it's border at the same time keep doing its infrastructure development without any disturbances.
