Have you visited cities/villages that belong to "enemy tribes"? How was your experience?

Well I have visited the Idoor towns or traveled tru them during a tense period. I haven't felt any animosity but couple people did asked me If I support Khaatumo or Somaliland and i would reply Khaatumo. They would try to convert me lol and my Dad sister who moved there and mom were kinda worried, they wanted us to come home early cause there are people who would try to steal from you too. and I noticed the drivers from Laascaanood to Hargaysa would drive together for safety but people on both sides respected travelers. On the way from Laascanood or to Laascanood Without asking everyone kinda knows we are all Dhulos, and we had our own talks about the state of affairs & and give our opinions, which was all leaning the same way. In the city I met many Dhulos & uncles, aunts & cousins, relatives & old neighbors from both sides,so my experience was good. On the plane to Hargaysa I sat with a reer Hargaysa girl from Canada, who was surprised that I supported something else & tried to make me a Somalilander lol I chit chatted with a Hy guy from Sweden on the way back, about politics and how he is related to Dhulos and had a group of friends from them. At addisabab i met a Reer Borama and couple of other reer Waqooyi ladies who were praising Ethiopia for their Governance and insulting Somalis for their division, wars and destruction of the nation & wished for all the Somali Older men death, I was laughing.

^don't exaggerate. Dhulos and Isaaqs have been intermarrying for centuries. I don't think Isaaqs would get mistreated in dhulos degaans either.

Don't derail the thread. Who else has ventured into hostile territory before?

I met a couple Isaaq businessmen in Boosaaso last time I went. Nobody was harassing them.

define hostile territory first?

are we talking old beef or new beef? cos old beef is just history and for banter new beef though is mostly far from us reer waqooyis but it still happens though like ogaden liyu police killing innocent somalis from different communities that some times settle in the hawd. but even then i dont let this stop me, i was recently in jigjiga on holiday for a few days 3 weeks ago before going back to my ancestral land hargaysa and the villages around it in maroodi jeex region where my isaxaaq tribe lives

Raginimo so where have you visited that wasn't your clans territory. I felt safe and at home in all Somali territories, I felt like a foreigner in Ethiopia but I did enjoy it, the same for Kenya too.

I traveled from gaalkacayo to hargeysa, but didn't stay long in either city. Most of my stay was in Bari and in various cities across eastern Sanaag. Only place I felt somewhat unsafe was in gaalkacayo. There was a lot of tension when I went and guys were roaming around in pick up trucks, carrying AK's and shit

Have any of you Isaaqs visited Daarood towns, villages? SuldaanofSanaag said that he had visited eastern Sanaag and Sool, would love to hear about his experiences.

Have any of you Daaroods visited Hawiye areas? Did you come back rasaas-free?

I already know there are a bunch of Hawiyes up north. I even met a HG cousin in Badhan of all places. There are many in Boosaaso and hargeysa.
