If you think you are married to your dream partner, Please tell us and let us know why you think they are the best you can get.
Most Somalis were already looking for someone to get married to when they met their partners and just got married because it was time to get married and they thought the people they are marrying was good people. Most people don't feel anything so special or breath taking that would have made them die if they didn't marry their current spouses.
Lets talk about it.

Dream partner should stay in ur dreams.
Marriage is just like a little business...khasaaro iyo faaidaba way leedahy.Markaad aragtid inay xooga shirkado so yara liicliicayso koontada faaroqi oo waxa ku jiraba la baxso.
Had iyo jeer labo talaabo ka hore.Feelings kulaha..ninyahow Waad riyooneya wali.

If you as a man feel like this, then you lack masculinity.

Sumu, Kacsigaa kaa batay. Mid haluguugu fariisiiyo saaxib. Tolkaada dhex gal, that is what men who can't get a woman on their own do. Don't be shy. They will understand your pain.

I dont think there is such a thing as dream partners, but for me she has to be
Intelligent but not gaalismood.
Good looking (at least 6/10) but not self absorbed.
Religious but not extreme (no niqab/jilbab).
Speaks fluent Somali & english - i cant deal with a Somali girl that doesnt speak Somali.
Family oriented.
Graduate/post grad in employment.
Relatively outgoing but not a party animal.
Ambitious and likes to travel.
Maybe I'm asking for too much

I found her 20 years ago when I was in university. She was my dream woman whom we saw I to eye on 99% of issues. She was a fiscal conservative (not a big spender), ambitious, political, a good cook and homemaker, and did not interfere in my politics.
However, she was a Christian. I couldn't see myself having children with a woman who is not Muslim because at least 80% of any future children would become Christians and the rebellious 20% Muslim. But on the upside, I could have had an Obama.
I do miss her after all this time and wonder what could have happened if we agreed on religion.
