Somali truck drivers with Canadian citizenship banned from USA

There are many Somali truck drivers who are Canadian Citizens. Some own their trucks. They ply their trade through transportation of goods to the USA and back to Canada. They wont be allowed into the USA as of Jan 28, 2017 for the next 90 days. This ban could be permanent. Somalia is one of the 7 countries banned by Trump.

I know 2 Somali-Canadian truck drivers who were turned away at the Detroit border today. They have Canadian passports, but since place of birth is Somalia, they were denied. They are on their way back to Toronto. Life is gonna be tough for Somali-Canadian truck drivers. UberX has already destroyed the livelihood of Somali taxi drivers, now trump is killing off truck driving for Somalis in Canada.

Canadians with Somalia as their birthplace will be banned, but I wonder if they'll try to go after Somalis born in Canada under the guise that ethnic Somalis are by default citizens of Somalia.

Diplomats are excluded. All Canadian Federal ministers get diplomatic passports.

@Suldaan: Somali-Canadians born in Canada are not impacted, their Canadian passport states they are Canadian born.
