The plan is for them to import goods via Berbera hopefully including weaponry.

The main industries for them are military, construction, spare parts including factory parts and mechanical parts.

DP World has already added Berbera budget to its total expenditure for this year 2017 which it says stands 1.2 billion dollars.

"We expect capital expenditure in 2017 to be $1.2 billion with investment planned into Jebel Ali (UAE), Prince
Rupert (Canada), Posorja (Ecuador), Berbera (Somaliland), Dakar (Senegal), and London Gateway (UK)."
