Yup, people are also fooled to think Vodun is evil when in fact it's just West African Saar and you know the Haitians used Vodun to defeat the armies of France, Britain and Spain combined. That's Dalays. She was the first Somali woman to break ground in 1952 and go on Radio and recite (sing) the modern gabay (hees).

John William Johnson in his book about Somali poetry writes about her



Her father was a Marehan officer in the colonial government and she was born in Baidoa which is why she used to sing in Af-Maay as well.

This is her in 1960 on Radio Mogadishu
