How do yall respond to this dreaded interview question?
What are your weaknesses or tell me about a time you had a conflict within the workplace? I usually do well untill they throw me these curve balls

Re: How do yall respond to this dreaded interview question?
Its best to be honest and stright.I've zero tolerance for racism and disrespect towerds my deen or where i came from.Or my hijab och colour.
Personally i've had my share of conflicts at many workplaces, but this place i work now we all respect each other.Been there for 4yrs now and i like my coworkers.
Never take any shit from anybody.Allah swt is the One who provids for you.
Meel bariiskaago ka qoran yahy cidina ka qaadi mayso Ee tawakal cala Allah.
Always be honest and truthful.

Waa runtaa lakiin this country cadaankood are not as forgiving as your country. Bringing up skeletons from the past is not something that i want to delve into - especially when it is a prospective employer. I've had a repeat re-occurrence of conflict at two different jobs; in both cases it was the exact problem.

Weakness: I work too hard, im a perfectionist and take too long, I often put others before myself.
But more importantly, you say what you are doing to overcome that weakness
Good luck .
Odd questions to ask in a bus driver interview

Weakness. I don't usually like to use my vacations, I am too dedicated to take time away from work.
Conflicts at Work: Dealing with a difficult person in a team, every team has a person who is not a team player. I deal with it by understanding them, communicating or empathizing. If that doesn't work, then my last resort is bringing up to my supervisor.

Re: How do yall respond to this dreaded interview question?
The trick is to give a weakness that is a strength. Like you pay too much attention to detail, or you are a perfectionist. There are resources online to help you with these questions. Make sure you take advantage of them.
Before you go to an interview, especially for a graduate role, prepare a list of possible interview questions. You don't want to be thrown off-guard, end up stammering, or responding to some of the questions with 'that hasn't happened to me before' or 'I can't think of an example where I showed that....".
Interviews often follow a script. They will ask you behavioural questions like:
Can you recount a situation where you encoutered XYZ problem and how did your overcome it, or
tells us about a time where you showed XYZ trait......
Use the STAR method to answer these questions, and you will be kill the interview, provided your nerves are under control. It's all about preparation. This is especially important for graduate jobs as you often do not have real technical skills. You have very little to offer, so you want to show that you at least have the good soft skills, and transferrable skills.
If you usually do well in interviews like you said, then you should do great if you prepare well.
STAR METHOD
- Situation
- Task
- Action
- Result
Also, if you use made up scenarios for those questions that you have to some times have to fill out during an application, make sure you use them again in the interview. They might bring them up a couple of times to see if you made it up lol. So make sure you review your application before you go into the interview. What I do is I save my responses on a word document on my laptop when i fill out those questions, and I review them if I get an interview.
All the best.

Isn't the whole point of that question to be honest and disclose a weakness that you have overcome instead of using a strength and turning it into a weakness? They can see thru your bs

Thanks guys! Basra me like your answer to a difficult situation, but you could've gone further and include a situation where it was applicable.

I have no many weaknesses but I tend to be easily persuaded by the members of the opposite sex to do things I wouldn't normally do. As for dealing with difficult people at work, I usually try to let it go over my head and if I cant I consult with my wife or hooyo and usually end up going straight to the management

That isn't just a weakness, that's a clinical cognitive disability. If I was you I would seek advice from a health professional, and by health professional I don't mean farhan the ambulance driverLoDoon wrote: Thu Jun 22, 2017 2:42 pm I have no many weaknesses but I tend to be easily persuaded by the members of the opposite sex to do things I wouldn't normally do.
