The continent is huge and whatever help it can get is probably welcome and since their leaders failed them Africans don't really mind the help.

Yeah, they are also marrying up Africans so that they can lay claim to the land. Their strategy is really deep. This whole One Belt One road is to ship African resources out to China and they're giving African leaders loans for the infrastructures building. I remember when they had this Chinese lady promote the Ethiopian industrial park where she was manufacturing shoes, she kept repeating 58 millions jobs will come from China in the future and it turns out it's not true. Germany now is seeing China get rich, so they're starting to give loans for infrastructures too and I think they will probably be their best competitor in Africa. The good thing is that now with people carrying mobile phones the whole world can see what they're doing and it's easy to rattle and trigger people and the Chinese know it. There was a fake article that circulated online a while back saying the Chinese were selling canned food of human parts, people got so disgusted they almost killed the Chinese workers so Chinese government had to call for calm. I think they need Africa for resources but also to counter the US/European world hegemony so it's in their best interest to have Africa strong.

Our only hope is Europe and US seen how their WB and neo liberal driven wall street policy of exploiting African is counter productive to their politics. Europe will have to change their policy in Africa.

The current German foreign minister is a man to watch his philosophy and literature is to make Europe an independent power from US with separate military and foreign policy.

X, I think you are a bit to harsh towards the Chinese, don't forget they are still a developing country so the take way for us should be how they quickly stood up in a short period of time. Europe is actually the continent we should worry more, yes they are changing their policies but it's for the worst, because of the illegal migrants, they are moving their borders to inland Africa using the old Nazi Fortress Europe way. The Chinese feels the pressure from US, EU, India, Japan, etc... so they need Africa more as an ally than as a market because let's face it there's still a lot of poverty in Asia and the Chinese were not investing only on resource rich countries in Africa so it's not only about trains, bridges, and natural resources with them, it's also about deep partnerships and even military cooperations. The US/EU know it and that's why they worry more about this Chinese soft power in Africa than about any market share losses to the Chinese companies.

There is something inhumane about the Chinese. They lack the basic human behavior. These are the people who cook animals a life because they believe such inhumane savagery tenderizes the meat a good beaten distressed dog taste better.

Their exploitation is maximum and to the bone humans animals land air nothing is spared. They are arrogant close culture they view the entire world through racist superficial lenses. They are unabashed racist and would do anything in the short term to reach their goals.

I lived in Canada fir 27 years I have seen all other nationalities feeding the homeless and the poor. Even Somalis do it in Canada they cook meals occasionally during ciid feed the poor and even volunteer. I have never ever seen a Chinese community do that. Utterly selfish people.

In all African nations they do business with they import their own laborers, materials and use the Africans for the hard head numbing tasks . They also settle in these lands cook their own food import their own vegetables even and push all small African business by importing their endless trinkets.

I lived in Sydney mate, even back in the late 90's it was chock full of chinese.
I know these people very well, their lack of morality is frightening and i mixed with mostly straights chinese , from singapoer, malaysia, hong kong. so they were more westernized , wealthier and spoilt basically.

After collapse recovery can be very quick because all the economic woes f the west are easily rectifiable if you had a sovereign government that actually has the desire to reform.

In nigeria i wanted to drive on my own and went to their version of the DMV to enquire if i could use my foriegn drivers license.
I was offered a nigerian one for $20 dollars. When i went to collect it, the guy even offered a passport if i wanted.

Mudane. What about the security situation in Nigeria, I heard it is worse than South Africa? Is this true?

when i was there in 2009 it was pretty safe, there was no boko xaram false flag nonesense.
The only danger was during christmass and new years and religous festivals when gangs on speedboats raid into the city centre and carry out bank robberies. I lived in the city centre of lagos which was secure, but abuja the capital was also safe.

there were no go areas , in lagos like many other cities..
generally i stayed away from expats and just mixed with the crowd, even picked up pigeon english in a few months.
