My dayuusbaro 'qumayo' wife never bought me anything for any occasion but the one here in Somalia, Ducoqabto, just bought me a nice ciid gift consisting of a custom-tailored footoshaari suit and a brand new bistoolad Dhabanacas ah.

It really makes one wonder why Somali women are unable or do not want to understand the fact that giving gifts and buying clothes etc...on special occasions such as Ciid is the best way you can show your husband how much you love and care for him. And he will do like wise and will make you feel special more often and without feeling compelled forced. I for example would have as a token of my appreciation for her buying me ciid clothes, would have offered and volunteered to take care of the household chores like doing the washing up, cleaning the bathroom, taking out the rubbish and doing my own laundry, which would save her all that energy she so often wastes nagging and Canka La Buur Buuro, once more she would have become less of a qumayo.

I do, if I have the time. Mens shopping is simple & more fun.
This Eid creeped up on me and only went shopping for me.

Husband is a wealthy/well off businessman.
Didn't buy anything for holidays. I hate shopping. We prefer a simpler life.
Best of wishes , take care
