Breaking: Ethiopian Airlines crashes

Post by AwRastaale »

Just in now. Still developing story. It was bound for Kenya from Addis Ababa.

Ethiopian Airlines flight crashes with 149 passengers, eight crew on board

Ethiopian prime minister’s office says the flight has crashed on way to Kenya's capital Nairobi.

An Ethiopian Airlines flight to Nairobi crashed early on Sunday with 149 passengers and eight crew members on board, a spokesman for the airline told Reuters.

“It is confirmed it happened 8.44 (am),” said the spokesman who did not give his name.

The Ethiopian prime minister’s official Twitter account expressed condolences to families of those lost their lives in the crash, without giving details.

“The office of the PM, on behalf of government and people of Ethiopia, would like to express it’s deepest condolences to the families that have lost their loved ones on Ethiopian Airlines Boeing 737 on regular scheduled flight to Nairobi, Kenya this morning,” the PM’s office said on Twitter.

This is developing story and will be updated.

Who will write their condolences letter first; Waqooyi Galbeed, Waqooyi Bari or the Federal Government?

All eyes on Waqooyi Galbeed because they don't offer any condolences when hundreds are slaughtered in Mogadishu but are quick to play the Hawiye/Dir/Irir cards when squeezed between many hard rocks but offering Ethiopia is all automated.

We have the official social media accounts of all three and we will see their time stamp but my money is on Waqooyi Galbeed.

Waqooyi galbeed??? Why would a former province write a condolence?

As for the other nonsense you've typed.....why would our government send their condolences when those that rule the southerners by name dont send their condolences? Forget it's rulers, we have people on this very same forum who don't send their condolences, and they claim to share the same flag.

You grasping at straws here. Your attention seeking ways have no bounds.

I think most of the pasengers are somalis. A lot of somalis who travel between addis abeba and Nairobi use ethiopian airlines.

Awrastaale is very strange you cant break the alliance between Somaliland and Ethiopia. We have no I'll feelings to Ethiopia whether they are amxara orom tigre. We do not have such feelings towards them and it's confirmed that 60 percent of the passenger were Somalis. As for walanweyns they As Long as they stay in their country we have no problems with them.

What is strange is the fact that the secessionist project is quick to mourn others but never offer single condolences to their own.

Kind of reminds me of Somali chicks who despise their own but quick to open their legs for foreigners.

Aad ba laydin bartay but Ethiopia never offered you a single condolences.

You have no alliance. It's all in your head. To them you are no more or less than Puntland or even Hirshabelle.
