Somalia's failed so called 'federal government' and its political war & economic sabotage against Somaliland
Isn't it funny how Somalia's so-called government, which barely controls Mogadishu with the support of 25,000 foreign troops, is hell-bent on destroying Somaliland. Talking about misplaced priorities.
Yet, whether it is investment projects like Berbera port, or international visits like Guinea, Somalia's weak, failed, so-called federal government is determined to sabotage Somaliland at every step. Purely because they cannot stand the economic, social and political development of Somaliland. Purely out of spite, jealousy and hatred.
Somalia's failed 'government' thinks that by weakening Somaliland, it can make itself seem stronger than it really is. In reality it would not survive another 24 hours without the protection of 25,000 foreign AMISOM troops. It cannot even visit cities other than Mogadishu, such is its fragility and weakness. It is not elected, not accountable and not independent to the people of Somalia. It represents nobody but their own selfish interests and stomachs of corrupt politicians who are failed taxi drivers and administrators from the diaspora. The so-called federal government is propped up entirely by aid from foreign countries like Turkey.
But by carrying out a war against Somaliland, they are making a dangerous mistake that will cost them dearly. We too can play that game. Somaliland must return the favour. We must sabotage Somalia's weak so-called federal government at every step, every turn. Whether political, economic or security, we must make sure Somalia's federal government never succeeds.
We must invite opposition leaders of Mogadishu to Hargeisa and we must fund them, support them in every way possible. We must deal directly with regional 'administrations' like Puntland, Galmudug, South West state to empower them and set up military bases in Galmudug, Lower Shabelle and South West State. We must invite southern Dir and empower them against the federal government.
This is a war and war demands ruthless reaction from Somaliland's government, if Somaliland is to survive. Our very existence is at stake and we must fight
Faisal is 100% right

It’s about time the federal government takes charge of the regional administration.
Feysal Waraabe is nothing, he doesn’t represent anybody, so he could talk all he wants, he is wanted in Somalia, since he advocated for terrorism and divisive actions. He called for the boy that wore the blue track suit to be burned alive, he should really be charged with a crime and jailed.

Somaliland government's diplomatic silence has to end. We have to stand up against the aggression from Farmaajo's failed so-called government in Mogadishu. We have to defend ourselves. Or we will end. Somaliland will end.

There is no Somali opposition who supports the succession of Somaliland.
The way I see it, Somaliland will not get recognition unless it has Somalia by the balls i.e. military invasion of Mogadishu.
The Somaliland establishment neither has the man power nor the stomach to march towards Xamar and demand independence.
That opportunity has sailed.

Its time to separate fact and fiction.Talo alle udaa wrote: Sat Jul 06, 2019 5:46 pm There is no Somali opposition who supports the succession of Somaliland.

The idea that Somaliland is 'seceding' from failed state Somalia is factually incorrect.
1. Somaliland precedes Somalia as an independent, sovereign state (26 June, 1960 vs 1 July, 1960).
2. Somaliland merged with Somalia voluntarily without a legal union.
In other words, Somalia does not have any legal claims when it comes to Somaliland.
Secondly, the objective behind the amalgamation of the two countries was Pan Somalism and the unification of the 5 Somali territories.
Djibouti's independence (27 June, 1977) and refusal to join the Somali Republic dealt a heavy blow to the dream of Pan Somalism and that dream officially ended when Afweyne Barre renounced the Somali Republic's claims on NFD and Hawd+Galbeed through treaties with Kenya (1984) and Ethiopia (1988).
So the real question is, why should Somaliland remain in a symbolic (not legal) union with Somalia?
From a legal standpoint can Somalia oppose Somalilands dissolution of the symbolic union if it was voluntary?

Thats what you wish miss Qurji but the reality is different.
We are slowly overcoming our main obstacle i.e geopolitics because our case is as legitimate as it can get.

That's an ambitious plan that requires tens billions of dollars.Futurist wrote: Sat Jul 06, 2019 9:29 am We must invite opposition leaders of Mogadishu to Hargeisa and we must fund them, support them in every way possible.
