No the south is sunni. North yemen is mainly shia with a significant sunni population also. The saudis and the sunnis in the north have both been defeated. The saudis dont want a shia state on there border and the north sunnis who used to rule everyone will now be rulled by shia and the sunnis in the south will get there independant country back. North amd south yemen united in 1990 and had a civil war in 1994. Uae supports the south yemenis.

We are very proud of our brothers in Aden . Before hargeisa Aden was our main Urban destination. More than half of Somalilanders knows some one from their family who once lived in aden.
