The xaaji AUN on his way to the hajj pilgrimage from the south, stopped by and married a local girl and founded a settlement called xaaji saalax. The reason I say this is because this xaaji saalax as x Playa mentions made the pilgrimage to xajj a very very long time ago at a time when it is probable not all somalis converted. I have seen some in the Uk and they are aware of the historic connection


The only question is whether the xaaji saalax koonfur are of HY descent or whether it is the other way round
