they Amhara and Kikuyu, Siad Barre was naive, that war was costly to Somalia, it weakened the state militarily and economically, and it destroyed the morale of the people.

I agree. It was. One of the things I disagree with the old man about. NEVER again shall we fight for Somali irredentism. They didn't say shit when Gedo was getting bombed by KDF.
