First of all the USA has made it clear Ethiopia can do what it likes as far as its concerned. There will be no internaitonal pressure on Ethiopia. Sec Pompeo made that clear.PrinceNugaalHawd wrote: Wed Feb 19, 2020 9:11 am The government needs to have an agreement with Ethiopia & the Somali region of the amount of water to hold back, Those damns could also be beneficial to Somalia as they will stop flooding. And they benefit our Somali people in the the Western Regions.(Dowlad Deeganka Somaliyeed)
You have presented literally nothing. All the Nabar & Naxdin groupies (who support Farmaajo's failed so-called Federal Government because of qabiil reasons alone) are silent as usual
I can't speak for the legitimacy or accuracy of the data provided, but by going off of that figure you're absolutely correct. According to the initial graph it shows the river was on par with the average level it was supposed to be at, but was low compared to 2018's historic highs However, this graph doesn't account for October-December which saw the heaviest Deyr rains of the last 30 years which raised the rivers of both the Jubba and Shabelle to above river bank levels which was exponentially higher than river levels at any point in 2018. Anyways to make a long story short, I can speak for the Jubba river in particular since it's the largest freshwater body in Somalia by a long shot and say the river levels as of now are above average and will likely continue to remain that way as we enter into the Gu rain season shortly. This hysteria about any dams is purely aimed at scoring cheap political points with poorly analyzed figures and not based on the reality on the ground.Turbulence wrote: Wed Feb 19, 2020 8:47 pm I may be wrong but doesn't that graph suggest the waters are down 50% from last years peak which was high compared to the 50 year average. In fact when this was last measured it looks the waters were at around the same level as the 50 year average.
