Slputting aside the qabyaalad and fkd, why are some people (well only darod tribe really) is against mogadisho being its own federal state?

Federalism is a system brought in by darods as they felt mogadisho had too much control on their regions, now that Mogadishu has agreed to the fed system, they have rolled back the carpet.

Washington DC is it’s own fed state, you can’t have everyone else being a fed state and the biggest region population wise unrepresented.


To me it stinks of “your stuff we share, my stuff is only for me”

I think it is a testimony of the doqoniimo of the banaadir natives who won’t stand up for their region.


Also it seems the biggest fear for beesha darod is losing hawiye tax payer, of course there is an argument that most international aid and projects are concentrated around banaadir so this must be rectified.

This federal bullshit should be scrapped or the current federal states should be reshaped, Galmudug, puntland and Hiiran should be one state, Jowhar, Southwest and Jubaland shoud be another state, xamarna waa caasimada waddanka ,,, that is only way to tackle federal states builr on qabiil mentality.

Washington DC is a District with no Senators & 1 Reperesentative in the Lower House & they can’t Vote, it’s not a Federal State.

Muqdisho is the Largest Somali city it has to be represented. Xaaq maaha.

Berlin is a federal state. There is a difference between a federal state and an autonomous region. The mayor of Mogadishu will be picked by goolaha deeganka from now on and Mogadishu will only pay their % to the fed gov and not be the sole purse strings of the fed gov. There are no hundreds of thousands of Daroods in xamar. No one is denying anyone from xamar rights they will be represented in the golodeegan. At least one third of Muqdisho population is Digil and Mirifle clans. Jareer have large population too. A lot of Dir. They all pay taxes too. All Somali citizens who live in Muqdisho have rights.

That's not true , of course Mogadishu is big city with lots of different people , but its a hutu territory. The hutus has every rights to create Their own benaadir State , and that state should not contribute More than 30% of it's revenues to the national treasury. Mogadishu is not a hooker for every cabdi and faarax , it belongs to hawiye.

Your math is compleatly off you forgot the greate Sade who make 60% of Xamar and 90% of Gedo and 80% of Jubbaland. The math of huntergatherers is fascinating.
