Naturally, every clan will complain about it. It looks like the criteria was loyalty to N&N. I was surprised to see Marehan and Xawaadle in the list when they don't have deegaan in Koonfur Galbeed.

Marehan have historically crossed into Bay and Bakool for daaq and some settled in Xer settlements, especially in Diinsoor next to Baardheere district and Qansax Dheere next to Garbahaaray district.

The problem is those Marehan were historically nomads and with Gedo close by, they didn't stay put long enough to be sufficiently recognized.

For example, that's how the Ogaden/Cawlyahan conversely were recognized. They were neither mostly nomads seeking fresh pasture from Ethiopia right above or settled and joined the Xer commodities. They settled more escaping Ethiopian gumaysi.

I am actually of the opinion one of the Ogaadeen seats should have gone to either Harti (Majerteen) or Layl Kase. Those two groups with a small Marehan/Wagardhac component were the BURAASHADLAY community who were a visible presence of Bakool.

I see this as a manifestation of PUNTLAND weakening and declining influence power because of bad leadership.

Awbakayle, Qoryooleey district is settled by Garre, Cabdi Yuusuf and Cabdalle Samatalis of Xawaadle and Jiido. Ugaaska Garre is actually Xawaadle, his grandfather was appointed as Ugaas by the Garre.

Xawaadle are also a sizable minorty in Buurhakaba district with various settlements exclusively settled by them. Mostly Cabdi Yuusuf.

since when does HG settle in Buale? i bet there is more MX in Mogadishu then HG in jubbaland.

anyway having 1 or two families in a city does not equal seats. as for MX, we have always lived in KG, Gedo is right next to bakool and Bay and we overlap. MX are a nomadic tribe that goes where there is vegetation and water.

Tuurdhow is one major settlement exclusively populated by Sacad alone for the last 100+ years. Yet seats were allocated to Harti who are also new comers.

Yet in Galmudug which is majority Hawiye we over allocated MX, Dir seats. It shows we are not that petty when it comes to power sharing

Ironically, DM who have very large population in Gedo don't even get deputy governor of Gedo. DM are too generous in power sharing, but they don't receive it back.

Ironically, DM who have very large population in Gedo don't even get deputy governor of Gedo. DM are too generous in power sharing, but they don't receive it back.

D&M get 13 MPS in jubbaland which way more the enough. as for Gedo, MX is majority in every district. i don't understand looking at MX all of a sudden. ogadeen went from 2 mps to 3 mps. so they get 1 extra.

MX was asleep for 50 years and doing tanasul for Somalia. they where asleep in jubbaland and asleep in Ethiopia. and asleep in galmudug Things have now changed MX will get its fair share in every single place they inhabit.

no more tanasul. MX getting 1 seat in KG is an insult we should at least have 4, this will be corrected in the next Parliament of KG.
