This is how you look my friend.

Everyone here is Xaasid, especially our Hawiye brothers. I don't know if anyone has spoken privately with you, but I have always felt more motivated to provide positive critique to my tol than negative critique to the opposing side.
Sahal waad wareertay abti.

6 or 7 months ago, December or November I told you exactly what would happen with the election and we are literally on the 75% percentile now.
Forget even rehashing the whole election bill debate, which you quitely dropped, when the bill in Parliament turned out to be 100% exactly what I said would happen---not because I am a genius, but it is literally what everyone saw would happen if theyfollowed Somalia and weren't emotionally desperate like some in the opposition.
Forget the bill and the past, do you know what I said would be the END PROCESS after all this is finished?
If you would like the link to the topic, here it is to fascinate you about how much you misunderstood about this fake election bruhaha.They are playing hardball sxb.
Do you think the UN or EU or US don't know what circumstances need to be in place for universal suffrage (1man/vote)?
How can you have that when entire regions and towns and areas of the country are directly administered physically by Shabaab? How can you have that when you don't even have an accurate census to know who is eligible?
They know 1man/1vote is virtually impossible, but getting to that now is NOT their intention.
This is explained by what Somalis term "ku qabso ka qaadi mayside."
The rest of the word understands it as the point in negotiation where CLARIFICATION happens before BARGAINING.
In CLARIFICATION, for example the store owner will say he is selling the rug for $500 while you as the customer respond with $350.
The sides will always attempt to provide JUSTIFICATION for their clarification (store owner says this rug is hand made from Persia, you say well I have bought a similar one from your competitor for 350)
Now the owner doesn't really expect to get that high sale and you don't really expect that low discount, but you have CLARIFIED the boundaries to bargain (i.e. meeshaad kasoo degi kartiin).
Parliament knows what the mandate is.
Through the long sub-committee process and the very public leaks, Parliamentarians have been "clarifying" what they want to test the level of challenge. ( No 1man/1vote)
The UN/Donors have responded with their own clarification (full 1man/1vote)
Xoogagag wadaniyiinta/misinformation is the justification provided by Parliamentarians and "hebel baan aragnay/la tashanay" is the justification by UN.
Now that they have both clarified and justified their clarification, they will bargain or "compromise."
Like I said to Sahal;
8. In the end, there will be a compromise that provides "CONTINUITY" of progress in State Formation.
9. Mark my words; the compromise from UN/Donors will be they will accept universal 1man/vote cannot be done now in exchange for something that is more universal and competitive than 2016 elections.
10. I will WAGER an arm and a leg that what they have been demonizing as "Farmaajo's xogaga wadaniyiinta system" aka more universal participation will in the end be what most resembles the final election compromise.

I call the whole thing fake, because they all know how this will end. People are just jockeying for attention and desperation.
I would even wager HALIMA YAREEY herself was tapped on the shoulder to PROVIDE PRESSURE on the opposition to quite playing and engage the process.
aFinally, stop being the blind running into the wall.
Back when you were cheering for extension that was supposedly to be for Prime Minister and Parliament, but not President---this was our osition then, our position now, and our position tomorrow.
Ironically my first response to you on this Election issue back in November is still the absolute defining truth on all of this

We know what is going to happen.
1. There will NOT be 1 man/1 vote.
2. There will NOT be extension for any ELECTED government entities; whether Parliament or Pres (PM is selected by Pres so irrelevant to this)
NEITHER of those things will happen for the same reasons it did not happen the last two times;
1. Somalia's situation does not allow for 1 man/1 vote (for goodnessake they do NOT even have the resources or operation to do a census----how can you do 1man/1man if you DON'T even know how many people to expect?).
2. Somalia's situation does not allow for any extension of ELECTED government entities (by law extension can ONLY occur if Election Commission asks for 2 month and then a 4 month technical extension----there is NO LEGAL PATHWAY for government entities to get an extension).
