So for the past 3 weeks now, there has been a 3rd party digital forensics expert investigating, documenting, and preserving entire webs of digital footprints.

What started out as a random inquiry created raw data expressing clear patterns. So they built a database and started data modeling to identify relationships.

The digital forensics guys are part of a professional network that has a relationship with a US professor and his team who is famous in the industry. This guy's research underpins the scientific basis of entities like Politifacts and the Washington Post Trump lies.

The forensics entity basically said to the client "fyi" there is this professor who told us to link him if we ever come across anything that might interest him. "

So apparently yesterday they were given the go ahead and the professor replied this afternoon with "Wow, this is definitely interesting and it had to be Somalia, huh?"

It seems like the professor was looking for an international research case and the information ticked everything he was especially looking for; Africa, insecure systems, threats to stability, dynamic information diffusion. "

He sent the data to his team to further organize for research prospecting.

What is there to organize since the data is organized in every way you can think?

Potential legal issues, particularly some very obvious of a civil nature, for some of the entities in the subject. The digital forensics entity identified names, nationalities, and other private information.

So the school and legal team will have to be informed.

What makes him excited but cautious?

Apparently one of the platforms has a public history of involvement in Ilhan Omar and brother story.

This will possibly bring its own public attention.

Also, please do not send me Private Messages (PM) of a personal nature or asking for detailed information.

I will just post this open disclaimer I just sent as a reply to someone:
I cannot share anything going forward brother as the communications of this account are now being preserved as a result of initial legal advice.

Update:Tomorrow a legal counsel will formally ask for the start of a criminal investigation.

It is amazing how laws have strengthened in some parts of the world when it comes to online.

For example, in the state where a lawyer will ask for the start of the criminal investigation, there is a "Cyber Stalking" law passed in the last year considered the most progressive in the world on this issue. The original version was struck down by the State Supreme Court on free speech grounds, but it was then passed again by State legislature taking the Court ruling into consideration.

Essentially, the counsel +3rd party forensics concluded there is a criminal case under that jurisdiction. This means if police investigation yields a charge, there is now a United States Criminal Court with incentive to locate and prosecute. Civil Courts are rarely incentivizied to locate outside the US

Foreign nationals with open US criminal investigation will automatically get an open case with Interpol. I am not sure as the plaintiff will find out tomorrow, but I think an open case with Interpol leads to open case in the country where the subjects are based.

I am sure Scotland Yard in UK and Royal Mounted Canadian Police will automatically do, but if not I suppose the Counsel will know what go do.

Apart from Kenya, at 4 Western countries (US-Minnesota, Canada, UK, and Sweden) will see criminal complaints.

Any subject of a criminal law proceeding in the US not responding to Court will automatically result in a warrant of arrest. Almost 100% sure this case will not have extradition involved, but an open US warrant means no travel to US or immediate handcuffs. Not sure whether this impacts other countries or airports who may or may not detain US warrants.

1 time is an incident, 2X or more is targeting, is harassment, is cyber stalking.

An incident vs targeting is the difference between civil and criminal.

Working with your plants to essentially carry out a "reprisal" against an "innocent" person because of completely wrong assumptions with regards to something the innocent person is not part of can give you false sense of leverage until legal scrutiny takes over command.

I am told ultimately the decision to press charges will be at the discretion of the Plaintiff.

It remains to be seen what redress or amends will occur, if any, to dissuade the Plaintiff's iron resolve to prosecute this to the end.

Who would have thought "Congratulations, Buun slayer" would now be part of an official US criminal complaint.

This is not fiction. That's how ridiculous it has gotten.
