Uhuru wants to stick it to somalia but at the same time not upset ismail umar geele who is 100 percent against somaliland independence.

It's only you. No country is serious about recognizing SL. For instance, Kenya's attempts is due to the maritime case. Furthermore, recognition/independence is achieved through the UN, not individual countries.GacankaCadmeed wrote: Sat Apr 24, 2021 3:42 am Is it me are are more countries paying attention to Somaliland now than 15 years ago
Why is Ismail against SL's independence?Nomand wrote: Sat Apr 24, 2021 8:44 am Uhuru wants to stick it to somalia but at the same time not upset ismail umar geele who is 100 percent against somaliland independence.

If independent Somaliland would actually be a much more potent state than Djibouti. I have met so many people from Djibouti, and they tell me it is a shythole.

Somaliland has much more resources then jabuuti. From farm land to. Minerals gemstones to even potential oil. The livestock trade the biggest in the horn.

UN is a dysfunctional organisation.
Countries recognize countries. That's the most important part. The UN is just a body

If Kenya Bantus could help anybody they will help them self, Their best farms are still owned by English men in the highlands, their economy is owned by Indians and Walaweyn. Their kids sold to Euro pedos in Mombossa beach and their nation depends on NGO from the West

In that case, SL should aim recognition from a heavyweight country such as UK, Russia, China, etc, not third world countries such as Kenya, Zambia, Ghana, etc. 30 years and counting, not a single embassy in Hargeisa.Khalid Ali wrote: Sat Apr 24, 2021 10:48 am UN is a dysfunctional organisation.

If one country recognises somaliland in africa the entire continent will follow. That is for sure. Just like western Sahara. We have even a better case then western Sahara... The au said somaliland case in africa is unique in 2005..when they send a fact finding mission. Your right on the European part to. We need to work on that 2

It's 16 years since 2005; how long does fact finding mission take?Khalid Ali wrote: Sat Apr 24, 2021 6:21 pm If one country recognises somaliland in africa the entire continent will follow. They already Conclude it In 2007 somaliland was on the brink of being recognised by the. AU. Rayaale was supposed to address if the African union summit in Ghana. If it wasn't for Egypt and Sudan who vetoed. It and they threatend to leave au if Somaliland is allowed to address au for member ship. So my dear Marehan enemy we are struggling with African Arab states. Who are our biggest obstacle. But we will get there God willing we are a strong nation.
