I don't even think she's muslim anymore, on account of her marrying a Jew and getting a dog for her family, don't particularly care what she does but what she says does not align with her actions, claiming to advocate for Muslim rights and opposing the apartheid state of Israel while passing off bills that clearly benefit those she claims to be fighting against. She also voted against the debt relief package for Somalia and then LIED to Somalis about it tweeting she backed the bill, let the records show that Ilhan is a shill, her tenure will do nothing for Somalia or Muslims worldwide, it's all theatrics.

Don’t compare her to other Western raised Somali girls, most of whom are way better spoken. Her spoken English is cringeworthy. I've also come to that conclusion, but you're mistaken on one thing, most MJ and Somalis did not vote for her in the last voting election, it was thanks to liberal cadaans she got back in. Minneosta cadaans lean heavily on the Democrat side, they are the base of her support. MJ are more indifferent towards Ilhan now, after showing her true face and what she is really about, most of us couldn't care less about her.

Didn't know about the dog. It was probably something brought up by her staff to make her more appealing to the american people. But why do somalis want someone like ilhan involved in American policy towards somalia? A person like her would do more harm then good.
