This is not even worth the attempt at public discourse but what is funny us MP Mursal there is the only "Marehan" MP that did not attend the Marehan unity meeting of both sets of MPs (the El-Wak MPs representing Marehan Jubbaland and the Cabudwaq MPs representing Marehan Galmudug). Imagine that Kulane Jiis and El Wak MP "Fadumo 9" were having a blast. Mursal was the onle who didn't go

Mursal is also only one of the handful of MPs who voted yes for Abdirahman Abdishakur surprise motion to bar Farmajo swear in as lifetime MP on the day of Farmajo attending parliament. Even none of the other El Wak MPs did that. Mursal did

That is who wrote that position above.

And you know why?

Because he is Talxe, a Mareexaan clan who has more camels in Lower Jubba than they do even in Gedo

Talhe camels in lower jubba were counted at 167,000 by the Italians.

Image

The average price of a camel in Somalia is $820.

167000 × 820 = $ 136,940,000.

1 Marehan MP representing 1 Marehan sub-clan of 33 sub-clans is giving that cryptic warning of potential fury of anyone messing with assets of almost $140 million in a poor country like Somalia

Allow Alle. Doqonimada HSM

You mean marehan.

Well marehan also live in kismaayo district and are the majority there. We also live in afmadow district and also large parts of saakow district.

It's like saying should garxajis be removed from somaliland.

I mean Gedo, Southwest State is next door and it's an opportunity for MX to expand to a 3rd FMS

Gubbet why doesn't Gedo set up a parallel Jubaland government that is, with Ethiopian support, independent of both Madobe and HSM

This topic interests me because a region like Gedo having difficulty with JL is parallel to a territory like my Somaliland wanting to be a separate country

I think we should have an honest discussion.
Gedo is a unique province with its own history and identity.

It is the only Somali region that straddles both the Ethiopian and Kenyan borders.

Politically it's people are aligned towards Ethiopia rather than Kenya.

I can't help thinking the inhabitants of Gedo would be better off joining their kith and kin in Ethiopia.

This is a decision for Gedo folks

Btw that map is totally wrong. Middle Jubba extends all the way to Kenya border, the illegal land grab of siyad barre to increase gedo size late in his regime has already been undone.

And my opinion is Gedo should join the elays or go wherever. They are violent, negative drain on jubbaland's progress. We don't need them.

I also lol'd at the usual delusions of boli qaran crew.

"Marexan are the majority in Kismayo, and they also live in afmadow and are majority in Sakow" wrote one nutter.

Even you OP, a Somali Lander, who probably has never been in the area knows the nutters statements are nuts.

"Gedo" is inanimate. She doesn't speak, sit at the table, or think.

Marehan does.

And "Gedo" is just part of his larger sphere of influence.

But, of course, you know which is why if you live to normal human lifespan, you will die bitter with all of this moment irrelevant and past footnote to how this story will end---

Dollow to Kismaayo is Manifest Destiny for Jaalle Marehan.

Ogaden JL, RX KG and Banadir HAG oo kala Qeybsanaya MX

Now I understand everything about the reactions of some MX members lately.

Tonight i had a conversation with well connected people.

Calla kuli xaal i was told that there's a plan pf dividing Gedo from JL, Jubbaland will consist of Jubbada hoose and Jubbada Dhexe. And will be under control of Aden Ducaale. Hawiye will have the vice president post

East Gedo starting from Doolow , Luuq and Baardheere will be added into Konfur Galbeed. West Gedo will be under gov control. So in the next election UPD will control which mps who will be selected from west Gedo. Dowladda ayaay sii toos uu hoos imanaysa gaar ahan wasaarada arimaha gudaha.

BanShabelle will be created consisting of Lower Shabelle excluding Baraawe, Banadir and parts of Middle shabelle specifically Balcad and Warsheikh. Wacbudhan Abgaal will be the president of this state while Xawaadle will be the Hirshabelle president.
