What's the goal of the opposing sides in their ongoing 4 Months War in Lascanod?
It's obvious by now that both sides (Dhullos VS Isaaq) are losing momentum here, some humanitarian and the other politically.
For the Dhullos its the humanitarian aspect, as time is essence their people are all but internally displaced refugees languishing in the wilderness without aid or support coming in, all while their enemy Somaliland is still barracked outside 5KM North of Lascanod.
It seems that the Garaads war for liberation seems to be heading to an epic humanitarian failure since their initial goal of expelling Somaliland has all but ended in stalemate while its their people who bear the brunt of this failure of a war.
And as for the opposing side Somaliland, their war in Lascanod has shattered all slim of hope they had for statehood and recognition, all signs are even suggesting that Somaliland is heading to be an Pariah state as the International Community have all but shuned them and some have even cut off whatever aid they used to give and even USA is now openly threatening sanctions, and what's even more bleak is that Somalia's Renaissance is coming at an alarming speed with the Alshabaab defeat being imminent and international community full support has all but ended whatever dream Somaliland had for secession.
So the question everyone is asking is, what's their end goal in this war?

Somaliland will prevail in the end, our independence and territorial integrity will be protected even more and the enemy minority Darods can wail to the moon and back
Somalia cannot fully recover until they centralise under HAG which in turn means recognising Somaliland so as to get SL help in crushing Puntland stealth separatists......just like how Eritrea crushed Tigray

Wallai Idoor are miskiin people good hearted people now I think about it maybe it was wrong to leave Somaliland. They should have given this monkey Hutu the respond he needs. Hey Dirty Hutu your home has been burning for 32 years who the hell are you to demand any political agenda from us northernes just because we had a funny little fight for few weeks ? At least both sides in this war have a goal and political ideology with principles. You on the other hand is a Hawiye the lowest of the low, your entire family has probably been killed in dagaalki 4 bilood, Amisom, US, A Shabab bombings, Isbaaro warlords, Ethiopian invasion. The smiling donkey who is begging around the world should be your focus go and worry about that bantu boy. There are isbaaro in all the areas al shabab has left once an animal always an animal. You know everything about humantitrian failure after all you are the face of it according to CNN

To be honest with you it's really very sad when terrorists attack your peaple and you couldn't solve the problem, then some local doqon takes advantage and declares war . That's what happened. We never planned this shit .
It's even worse when your neighbors are taking advantage of the situation. So here is our escape plan , we would do what every one else is doing. We gonna escalate the problem , create more civil war and qabyaalad all over the the Somali peninsula. And we expect to be rewarded. Because no one took us very seriously for 30 years of peace building.
We would do anything to totally drop down dhulmahante , without giving them any freedom. This game is called ila meerayso.

When it comes to the recognition we gonna seek it by the barrel of the gun .

This Jareerteen lady always gets triggered when an Idoor and a Hagite has a decent conversation xataa. The thread is not even Anti idoor but they clearified things clearly to us. Talking on behalf of the Idoors is hilarious to the say the least. You are the one firing gun at the idoors today talk about schizophrenia. Idoor and Hagite relations go back 700 years with good report of relations with no hostility

That Somali diid part doesn't work anymore , it's over used . Isaaqs owns Sool and lascaanod as much as the dhuloos. We invested this place for the last 30 years , and we won't leave it for dhabayaco , we know they are cowards and They don't have the military capacity to defeat us.Smile-LiKe-SuN-RiSE wrote: Sun Apr 16, 2023 11:59 pm Reer Sool want nothing to do with ….the terrorist somalidiids..that are shelling their homes . The only way somaliland can be defeated in laascaanood is if daaroods use somalia forces against us , Which is very unlikely, because other Somali clans don't want to fight for daarod cause. And we gonna use our 4.5 MPs to defend our in interests in Mogadishu
This is a geopolitical war , I have too many reasons to fight , our sovereignty is at stake , my own habarjeclo territory can be taken if I don't take yours first. And giving easy victory to the dhabayacos can inspire others to fight against us. Saca Dil wayshu ha quusate

I agree 100% sxb, that LA war will reshape the Somali regional and political structure especially for the North.
It seems though that based on the signs out there, that the incoming change will be based on completing the 1960s initial goal of North/South powersharing that the dictator Siade Barre ruined, I truly hope insha'Allahi that Somalis can finally have an political peace.

You have already lost Sool.. if darood join you will lose your triangle …the only thing left is to remove you from that former military base . You are such a loser …that is always drunk and high on drugs. Orod ilkaha samayso..wasakh uraya …asagon cadaysan somalinet kuso kalahaya..ilka holhol waaxid..you are so delusional.theyuusuf143 wrote: Mon Apr 17, 2023 1:02 amThat Somali diid part doesn't work anymore , it's over used . Re: What's the goal of the opposing sides in their ongoing 4 Months War in Lascanod?
To answer the original question posed by the OP.
Somalilands objective was to defeat the Blue revolution and reestablish military and political control over Lascaanood/ Dhulbahante. So far they have failed miserably.
Furthermore, Somalilands overarching objective of political recognition from the international community and independence from Somalia has been dealt a death knell by the SSC and allied forces.
So we can clearly see Somaliland has failed in its short and long term goals.
The Dhulbahnte objectives are firstly to remove Somaliland political control, and secondly to expell Somaliland militias from Lascaanood/ SSC.
The first objective was achieved early on in the war, while the second is still a work in progress.
The Dhulbahnte started with no heavy weapons, no political organisation, very few resources and minimal support. Over the last few months we have built a political/ governing authority and a formidable fighting machine.
Somaliand claims of capturing Lascaanood in two hours have proved to be worthless faan. They have suffered catastrophic casualties and have used up all police, coastguard, firemen, and have been reduced to forced conscription of street youths and geeljires.
The SSC and allied forces have paid a heavy price in lives lost and destruction of swathes of Lascaanood.
However, if you speak to any Dhulbahnte, he/ she will tell you its a price worth paying to be free of Somaliland forever.
We are going toe to toe with the iidoors......even though they had a thirty year headstart.
