The invitation was extended by the young House of Ali Abogne prince of the Marehan on the central plateau (Mudug, Galgaduud, Wardheer, Shilaabo) Ugas Mohamed 'Keyse' Ugas Ahmed Ugas Farah Ugas Abdille Ugas Ali 'Abogne' (Cali Xaabbuun).
The Saleebaan Chief, Sultan Mowlid Sh Jama accepted the invitation. Recently he became the first Saleebaan Chief in history to set foot on Marehan territory as a privileged member of Galmudug President Qoorqoor's entourage in a visit to Caabudwaaq.
One of the Saleebaan section chiefs accompanying the Sultan remarkably said he was maternally linked to Marehan, born in 'Laamoweyne' pond on the outskirts of Caabudwaaq town but had not been able to travel to Caabudwaaq in 40 years. This development's regional importance cannot be overstated on account of this serious personal experience shared contextualizing the dire state of circumstances existing between these communities in central Somalia over a long period.
It is soon expected the Saleebaan Chief will be hosted in Dhabad town, the center of the Wagardha section of Marehan principally implicated as the component of the clan that has been the primary participant to belligerence between Marehan and Saleebaan.
Something profound is happening between the Marehan of the central plateau and their Saleebaan neighbors that is potentially transformational for Caabudwaaq-Cadaado state of relations.
