Something very beautiful and extraordinary has been happening in Gedo Region.

HSM, Fiqi, Madoobe---they wanted Marehan at war with themselves. They KNEW Marehan and so like an old inflexible creaking wooden cabinet, they wanted Marehan and Gedo crumbling down on itself with the slightest disturbance.
God, our Elders, and a special entity watching from a distance had other plans.
All the negative qualities of our socio-politico culture were tapped by HSM/Madoobe and normally the outcome would have been predictable, but for the decision to be different.
For years Marehan militancy was the tool used against Marehan.
But what be thy outcome if Marehan moderation was thus invoked:-
So Shimbir could be in Garbahaarey as the end all be all of what HSM/Madoobe had to do and Marehan would do the rest fighting each other to oblivion as they theorized--
But so Shimbir could be in Garbahaarey and the elders and society would go about their business independently co-existing unperturbed.

I have always said the biggest issue in Jubbaland is not necessarily KDF/Madoobe vs Marehan but Marehan within themselves. A culture of intolerance, militancy, and group think was the problem. If you do not give members of your family an opportunity to breath, someone else's lungs will breath for them and will be in control of their hands and feet as well---to be used against you

That is astronomically more conducive to finding lasting solutions and consensus than anything achieved from 10000 years of perpetually closed doors and hostility.
