Do You Send Cash?

Post by kambuli »

We know that 85% of the money we send back home goes directly to Jaad
that is to say Ethiopia and Kenya....

My dad hates jaad eating people... He sends money to the shops only.. So that needy families are given the basic food needs... Bariis, baasto, saliid, sonkor, bur etc Only people whom he is sure do not chew jaad get their cash. Also my father encourages to contact the wives of the kaat chewers and send some petty cash.... Laughing

Well I believe it is wrong to send money to Ethiopia and Kenya... Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad

What do you think?

Kumbuli, wlaahi you right. I was censuring a cousin of mine about this who is now living in Somalia. He gets hundreds of dollar every month and he overspends it for something supposedly Khat.

I agree, Khat chewers should not be sent money. The Ethiopians misnister of commerce recently boasted about how much they exported to Somaliland only $36 Million and the biggest export? Yes qaat. Kenya probably makes similar amount if not more from qaat.

But the guy who really had a luaght at me was the one I sent money about five years ago: He went to hajj! Yes the irony of it. I was absolutely incandescent. Never got another penny from me did he?

I like your father. I think that is a really good idea. sending the money to mothers is far better idea because she will most likely spend it on the kids.

I no longer send money to some of my relatives. They chew qat and leave their wives behind. I used to be very sensitive when they call and work on my conscience, saying their condition is so bad. But at least since I went there, feelings of guilt have really reduced. I have seen their life, and it is better than mine in many ways. They do not work hard like me, having many responsibilities. The problem is that they have become dependent on the money I sent. What if I am no longer around, or am no longer able? I asked them what they did with all the money I had sent them throughout the years. Where did it go? They could not answer me.Waxan ka reystaay 5 tii dollare Dahabshiil.

I recently found out that I was being betrayed. I would send money to my aunt and I found out that her sons would chew kaat with it.

Keep in mind that I would even send money that I knew I needed and would even borrow money, and I found out they were chewing qaat with it and my aunt was hiding it from me.

I was wondering why they were running out of money so quick, anytime I would call they would say they have run otu of money.

Thanks for the idea, I will now send money to the local food shop as credit for them and only authorize my aunt's daughter

If they want to chew qaat it's their problem, but I'm not going to fund it Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil

I do send money continously because I know it goes to a trust worthy hands. Who in turn are very good at delivering to the most needy destinations. For example there are these qaraabo boys and girls who love education but haven't got the means. Me and a cousin of mine kind of provide a scholarship for three of them it only costs about $50 a month each!

Yes, it is a good Idea Smile At least we can fight to stop our money draining to Ethiopia and Kenya. When every one makes sure to save his money from Kat we would be in good shape...

Please be sure to send your hard earned money to the needy, hungry chilldren and moms... Not to the neighboring countries..

Waxaaba ugu daran kuwa ku guursada... When the guy sending the money himself can't afford to marry...
