I would probably attend Harvard based on the prestige. But the tuition there is over 25 000 dollars USD a year. So even If I got accepted Laughing I couldn't afford it unless I was being subsidized upto 80% man.

Unclebin..25k? Dude, it's now over 45k a year lol...

I personally like Princeton. Just as prestigious as Harvard.

Basra...stanford is a great school but not one of the ivy league schools.

For an undergraduate degree tuition is probably closer to 30k lion. I guess room and board and other incidental fees is what helps climb the cost of attenting harvard over 45k. But graudate and post doc and other programs are probably an arm a leg and a halimo Laughing

Oh yeah. I personally wouldn't waste that much $$ on an undergraduate degree. But it's important to have your master's from one of these schools if u want to be respected in your field.

trust me you don't need a masters in these schools. Some regualr schools without the age old history of these ivy schools are better in certain fields man. Like if you wanted to go into a graudate school in engineering I here the university of texas at Austin is a good school. The upside is tuition will be lower and the people attending aren't exactly paranoid 5th generation ivy prep students

That's true for some majors though. For example, in the medical/science field, it doesn't really matter where you get your degree from.

That's because they are always in demand and the standards are pretty much the same across the country and much of the world.

What bout an MBA. You could take that back to a Muslim country and be head of there banks or pretty much the minister of finance Laughing Doesn't matter if you get that at Columbia or if you got that at the university of Virginia. You'll be a KING in any Arab country Laughing

Well, I am proud of my education at University of Delaware (free scholarship). I enjoy having all those IVY LEAGUE (heavy in student loan debt) coworkers work next to me as they service those $50,000 to $100,000 student loans.

I'd go where I get a free education from. At the end of the day, its about personality and performance.

One thing I know is that university of Penn. is in the City Exclamation

But always there are other schools that almost have the same prestige as the Ivy League ones..... Duke, Georgetown, U.VA( #2 in public schools), William and Mary etc
