The basic rights and freedoms to which all humans are entitled, often held to include the right to life and liberty, freedom of thought and expression, and equality before the law.

i agreee with you.but i think the most important human right that every person is entitled to is free education.if people are educated and can read and write then they can pick the right people to represent them in the right places and wont have to deal with corrupt governments.

the whole freedom concept is a liltle difficult!
is Freedom to live Freedom from DEATH and if this is the CASE does it Depend on Conditions ad if it does Depend on Conditions then is that really Freedom??

TO ME, FREEDOM IS THAT NO GOVERNMENT OR PERSON CAN TELL YOU WHAT TO DO AND HOW WITH YOUR LIFE.WILL TO LIVE FREELY WITH YOUR LIFE NOT WORRYING ABOUT PERSCUTION OR ANYTHING.

absolutley here we call it a right but in developing countries its far from it for instance across Africa at least 35 million people including an estimated 17 to 21 million children lack a basic education. and most of them are from excluded groups such as those with hiv and aids.
however, b-hams beauty walal of course everyone has the right to live but only Allah swt has the right ot take a life so theres no such thing as freedom from death. So whether it was a ''hit and run'' or a natural death then its something Allah swt has willed. therefore theres no escaping it.
something that was meant to hit u doesnt miss you.. and somehting that was meant to miss u doesnt hit u

I THINK BAHAMS BEAUTY IS TALKING ABOUT BEING FREE FROM PERSCUTION.AND I KNOW ALLAH CAN TAKE LIFE IT BROUGHT, BUT ALSO GOD DIDNT SAY KILL MY PEOPLE TOO YOU KNOW.
I THINK IF PEOPLE WERE MORE AWARE OF HIV AND AIDS , IT WOULD BE LESS PEOPLE IN THE WORLD INFECTED FOR INSTANCE ALOT GET HIV AND AIDS INFECTED THROUGH NEEDLES THAT WERE ALREADY USED ON SOMEONE ,IF PEOPLE KNEW ABOUT HOW DANGEROUS THAT IS THAN IT WOULD SAVE ALOT PEOPLE LIVES.
EXAMPLE IN SOMALIA, THOSE YOUNG MEN WITH GUNS ,IF THEY WERE PROVIDED WITH JOBS SOMETHING TO MAKE LIVING OUTTA OF IT THEN THEY WOULD OUT THOSE GUNS DOWN.I THINK THEY ONLY REASON THEY WORK FOR WARLORDS IS BECUASE THEY GET SOMETHING TO EAT AND WEAR.AS PEOPLE OF THE WORLD NEED TO COME UP A WAY TO BRING PEOPLE OUTTA POVERTY.

I undertand that walalo
BUT When we say Human Rights its means Rights for all man kind regardless of religion! which is what complicates things
becoz surely if we were all living under the Shariah law then NO would need to reinforce 'their' Rights since it is ALLaH who gives them 'their right'
for example under the Law of God, Blacks would not be Oppressed, Women would not be exploited and so on, in a sense every one has their Just XAQ!
But since we are not living in a world where shariah law is applied then human rights and freedoms as far as i'm concerned are problematic!
for example Freedom of speech and expression is abviously considered to be important however where do u draw the line?
rember those Cartoon drawings of the Prophet (PBUH) -done in the name of freedom of speech and democrasy!
so i guess as long as your freedom or rights does not affect the freedom or rights of another person then its all good.

thats entirely true however Allah swt did give us the opportunity to carry out those procedures under consideration by a islamic legislative body thoroghly.
As for the hiv and aids true say its due to the lack of education.
Somalia its the minority that have guns and kill people alhamdulilah nowadays it gives u a peace of mind which is priceless and also in every thrid world country they'll go to the end of the world to provide for their families even in wrong-doings. So they fend at every given opporunity.
If these people choose to pick up the guns and shed blood rather than pick up the quran and further others knowledge.. they shall be accounted for.
as for their financial status Allah swt clearly stated that those who give charity shall be better off.
good topic.
