Puntlanders: Tips on Visiting Puntland
Waryada, got any tips on visiting Puntland ? I might be swinging through Bosaso for 10 days. I unfortunately do not want to visit but have been nominated to visiting some business clientele there.
1. What qabiil should I claim so as not to be a target ? My accent & speech may lead people to believe I am a Muduglander/Omar Maxmuud.
2. Best hotel to stay in ?
3. What is the best/safest way to get from Bosaso to Galkacyo ? Air or ground.

brov to go 2 boosaaso or anywhere else in puntland you don't need 2 claim any qabil, as any somali is welcome 2 live or stay in puntland.
i know dis kos i go 2 puntland alot like 5 times within the last 3 years.
my neighbours, are isaaq, warsangeli, mareexan, dhulbahante, haawiye.
u will find all qabils in boosaaso.
and u will also find that noone even asks for your qabil.
people seem 2 mistake puntland for un peaceful regions of somalia like xamar, come on people we are very much developed, theres no one in the streets wth guns, is not allowed.
anyway the best hotels 2 stay in boosaaso is internation village, which is like $30-50 or more, depending on what the room is. mostly white people stay there. it's actaully abit of a distance from the city centre. so the best in the central area is.
neyrus hotel
jubba hotel
emirate.
they are all very nice hotels, about $ 10- 20 a night, with great views of the city. and everything availabe from satellite tv, fresh food, internet, phone.
best places 2 visit is the beach ofcourse. laag which is like a amazing lake, u could swim there all day, is absolutely beautiful.
biyo kulule, i call it the natural jacuzi it has hot water and cold water and it's natural.
and what can u say for the nigh life of boosaaso, wow. everybody comes out like asar magrib time when it's alot warmer, theres cinemas, local cafes, somali ruwayd places, every where u turn nice somali music coming from side 2 side.
and girls, shit man are boosaaso girls hot or wot. they all coming out in da streets i call them somali bueaty.
the food is the best part of boosaaso, fish food, i have seeing the best tasting lobster in boosaaso ever. and it's cheap and fresh.
am telling u boosaaso is the place 2 be, am going in a couple weeks and i can't wait.

You think you did your people some favour but sorry to tell you that you have insulted your sisters in the worst possible manner there is. war wax isula har neef yohow.[/quote]
"my people" if u refering 2 qabil we are all somali, so people in boosaaso are not closer 2 me then anywhere else in somalia.
and how did i insult the girls by saying their beautiful, it's a nice thing 2 say about our somali girls.
u r a sick individual if u think what am saying is against somali woman, did i call them hoes, bitches, ugly no. in my book calling someone hot is a good thing, go get some common sense into ur head
